Cook requires time
The cuisine of Trentino region was initially poor, a bit different from the TYROLEAN CUISINE but they both come from a mountain land, from an average altitude of 800 mt and above, a rural life that go around the house, the barn, the pastures and the woods. All these things used to base the meal on what there was, and what there was, could not be wasted. The preparation, storage and stocks had something sacred and made a union between the families. For example, when local people used to prepare the pig they used to help each other.
Now things have changed, yet the COOKERY of Trentino with its simple but tasty dishes, is always part of the menus of all the restaurants of the region. Also we are very keen to make you taste our products, which, together with other dishes complete the gastronomic offer of our hotel.
Our family avails itself of a chef. We try to keep our cuisine as light as possible with a daily menu with various choices. Most of the preparations are homemade as well as the pasta we offer; likewise, we daily bake cakes and bread.
It is hard to satisfy every taste, some people like strong flavor some others prefer more delicate tastes.Anyway, we do our best to follow a single advice or request.
Our restaurant and our chef Fabio offer a selection of dishes based on fresh local products and typical recipes. Famous for our homemade patisserie and pasta, open at lunch and dinner for our guests who can choose an half board treatment or a full board.
We are always ready to satisfy our guests' needs also in preparing special dishes for people who suffer for specific alimentary intolerance or celiac disease.
Our menu is often composed of a buffet or raw or cooked vegetables, a selections of pasta or soup , a selection of main courses and desserts. Beverage are not included.
We love to let our guest know and experience our land through our kitchen too.Our restaurant can comfortably accommodate at least 80 people, included a typical wood Stube, for guests that prefer a private and warm atmosphere for their meals.
The Folgaria Post Hotel’s wine cellar with about 70 labels, has wines of Trentino origin, both from the low-Adige / Vallagarina and the plain Rotaliana / Alto Adige South Tyrol. All this, in a desire to introduce guests with the products of the Trentino land. We also have labels of renowned Italian and French wine producers, as a matter of fact we do not lack in offering Champagne and some great Italian classics like Brunello, Bolgheri, Amarone and Barolo for lovers of long Italian wine tradition.Here there is our wine list, which can undergo some variations also according to the availability or exchange of cellars.
